MUGSHOT: Illegal immigrant from Africa; gregarious; heavy bodied with a small featherless head only another Helmeted Guineafowl could love.

Roosts in trees of a night but generally a ground bird eating seeds, snails, spiders, worms, frogs, lizards and anything else it can get its scrawny beak around.

Makes a loud harsh call when disturbed and will run rather than fly when alarmed.
